I was even able to re-install ScanSnap Organizer and it’s performing normally.Note: An important notice on vulnerability for this software. I have no idea why, but it now works again. I need to manually start “ScanSnap Manager” upon the computer restarting. I’m finally able to scan again! There is one caveat, though. I also modified all the EXEs to run with administrator privileges. For some reason the default was to have them set to compatibility for Windows 8. However, I modified the properties of all the EXE files to not use any “compatibility” mode. It was still giving me plenty of ‘hanging’ issues. Now, what I’ve done is to do a clean install - AGAIN - of the 64-bit driver you found. Maybe the OCR is bad? It’s definitely not fit for 2022, and certainly not worth the $100. Sometimes the output just produced the QR code, sometimes part of one of the tables, another time just the table with very incorrect margins. The scan went nuts just trying to isolate what it thought I was trying to scan. I fed it a document that included a few spreadsheet-like tables, a barcode, and a QR code.
It DOES communicate with the ScanSnap S1500, but it misreads documents terribly. A few hours later… I tried the VueScan software, and it is a complete pile of cow turd.
